Tips for Inspiration

s a designer inspiration when creating is important. When it comes to staying inspired I like to work with some trips up my sleeve and in this post I will be giving some ideas to try out. If you have any great inspirations that you use why not sharing with everyone else? Let’s get started.
My first source of inspiration is music.

When I work on a project whether it’s blogging for Where Stephanie Reads, or designing logos I like to jam to my favorite music using Spotify or YouTube. For those that know me, know that I listen to different kinds of music. What I like to listen to is either rock, metal, epic, and recently got into a cappella bands like Pentatonix. Below is a link to a playlist I use to listen to music.

My second source of inspiration is watching YouTube channels about design, or books. So great youtube channels about design include Charli Marie, Roberto Blake, Brent Galloway and more. Check out my YouTube list to find some of my favorites.

I like to listen to podcasts. Sometimes I like to alternate music and podcast throughout the week. Sometimes I will be in a jamming mood or just want to just learn something. My favorite podcasts include Bookriot, The Deeply Graphic Design Cast, Design Life, Smart Passive Income.

People are inspiring. From listening to their life stories or just talking to someone can spark up ideas. I think its important to take time out away from the computer and actually talk to a human being. You be surprised how a guitarist friend could help you get inspired to write your own songs.

As a book blogger, I must have a books as part of my arsenal. I love books and how they can make you think, come up with ideas and take you to different places without leaving your living room. So great books I like to read are fantasy, science fiction, design, young adult and etc… If you are looking for a great book to read check out my book blog at
